Summer Mass Schedule Our summer Mass schedule
begins June 3. Masses on Sunday morning will be at 9:00 at St. Michael and 10:30 at St. Ambrose. The Saturday Vigil
Mass at St. Ambrose remains at 5:00 p.m.
Please support the monthly Food Bank "Brown Bag" On the first Sunday of the month, St. Ambrose
parishioners show their generosity by “brown bagging”
donations for the local food pantry. Please
consider bringing a bag of non-perishable food or cleaning
products. Just leave your bag in the vestibule as you arrive for
Mass. Thank you!
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
The next R.C.I.A. session will be Wednesday, May 23, at 7:00 pm in the rectory.
The R.C.I.A. is a formation process for adults (18 years of age and older) who wish to become Catholic. Classes are held in the rectory or church
hall for learning, faith sharing and fellowship. The culmination of the R.C.I.A. is at the Easter Vigil at which time we will celebrate the sacraments of
initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. If you or someone you know may be interested in becoming Catholic and being involved in the R.C.I.A. classes, please call Fr. Leo.
CCD and Youth Ministry News
• CCD and Youth Ministry End-of-Year Program - Sunday, May 20, brings to a close our CCD and Youth Ministry school year. To help celebrate the occasion, we will present a special program which will include a slide show and graduation. Please plan on joining us. The festivities begin at 10:00 a.m. at the J. A. Garfield Elementary School.
• Help Wanted - CCD needs catechists in grades Kindergarten and fourth. If you are interested in either of these positions, please call Mrs.
Kable at 330-527-4105 or 330-527-4822.
• CCD Staff Meeting -
All CCD volunteers are asked to attend a staff meeting Monday, May 21, at 7:00 pm in the church hall.
• CCD and Youth Ministry Registration -
Any student wishing to attend CCD (preschool-grade 8) or Youth Ministry (grades 9-12) and is not currently attending must fill out a pink registration form found in the church vestibule. Place the registration form in the collection basket, drop it off at the rectory, or mail it to the church. Please include a copy of the student’s baptismal certificate. (Preschoolers must be age 4 by September 30.)
Knights of Columbus The Knights of Columbus May social meeting will be held Monday, May 21, at 6:00 pm in the church parking lot (by the
garage) to paint signs for the chicken dinner festival.
Refreshments
will be served.
Altar & Rosary Society The ladies of the A & R Society will meet Thursday, May 24,
at 7:00 pm in the church hall for their monthly meeting.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
The St. Ambrose Prayer Shawl Ministry will meet Monday, May 21, at 6:00 p.m. in the rectory. We welcome new members to join us as we meet on the third Monday evening of each month. Don’t forget to fill out a card for someone you would like to receive a prayer shawl! The cards are on the counter in the vestibule.
Mark Your Calendars Be sure to mark your calendars for this year’s Chicken Dinner Festival, scheduled for June 23/24. Let’s all do what we can to

Grief Gathering
The Social Action Ministry
is sponsoring a six-week grief gathering for the parish and the community. Sessions will run
each Wednesday in the church hall from 7:00
to 9:00 pm through May 30.
The sessions will be presented by parishioner Linda R. Simpson. Please call the rectory (330-527-4105) if you wish to attend.
Sister Parish In your May/June contribution packets, there will be a specially
marked envelope for those who wish to make a monetary donation to our brothers and sisters at our “sister parish” in El Salvador, San Rafael. You can be assured that whatever you can give will be greatly appreciated and will help further the
mission of the Church in one of the poorest areas of our world. May God bless you for your generosity.

The Bishop Is Coming to St. Michael!
On Sunday, May 27, Bishop George V. Murry, S.J. will make a visit to St. Michael Parish. He will celebrate the 9:00 a.m. Mass and will be available afterward to greet parishioners. A reception for the Bishop will follow in the church hall.
