CCD and Youth Ministry News
• Youth Ministry Pancake Breakfast -
Our Youth Group is hosting a pancake breakfast on Sunday, February 5, from 9:00 am until 12:30 pm in the church hall. The menu includes pancakes (all you can eat), sausage,
scrambled eggs, coffee, tea and juice. The group is trying to raise funds for their many social activities and service
projects.
• Youth Ministry Mass - On Saturday, January 28, our youth ministry students will participate in a special way at the 5:00 pm Mass.
Knights of Columbus January Social • Mardi Gras Night -
Pope Pius XII Assembly is hosting their annual Mardi Gras Night fundraiser on Saturday, January 28 at the St. Joseph Knights Hall in Randolph. Doors open at 6:00 pm, with dinner being served
at 7:00 p.m. Dinner includes jambalaya, chicken, salad, dessert,
and refreshment. There will also be a cash bar. Price of $15.00 per person includes mask, beads, music, games of chance and FUN! Please contact David Bender at 330-527-3161 or David Vincent at 330-527-2474 for reservations. • Spaghetti
Dinner - Saturday, February 11, in the church hall from 6:00
to 8:00 pm. All you can eat spaghetti/meatballs, salad,

twelve), and young people (five and under) are free! • Chili Cook-Off - Saturday, March 24, in the church hall from 6:00 to

Chicken Dinner Festival 2012 It’s time once again to begin planning our annual Chicken Dinner Festival. Members of the Festival Committee will meet Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 7:00 pm in
the church hall. Any parishioner wanting to serve on this
committee is invited and encouraged to attend the meeting.
Old Palms for Ash Wednesday Ashes
Please bring your old palms to church. On Sunday, February 19, our Youth Group will participate in a prayer service in which the palms
will be burned. The ashes from the burned palms will be used on Ash Wednesday. Place palms in
basket in vestibule.
Volunteer Appreciation Dinner
On Friday, February 17, we will once again have a dinner for all adult men and women who volunteered in any capacity throughout
the past year at St. Ambrose parish. Volunteers are the life-blood of any parish, and we
wish to show our appreciation for the many things you do to help keep our parish a vibrant faith community. The dinner will take place at the K of C Hall in Mantua (State Rte. 44). There is a $15 charge for any non-volunteer
spouse. Please

Food Cupboard The Windham Knights of Columbus has started an ongoing
food drive through St. Michael’s Church. Canned vegetables,
canned soup, cereal and peanut butter are the most needed
items. However, any non-perishable items are fine. Please
check the expiration date before donating. We would like to

Special Valentine’s Day Bingo
...Sunday, February 12, in the parish hall! Games start at 1:30 pm. There will be refreshments, raffles, baked goods, and a gift table! We will have great food, fun and games! Please come and support St. Michael’s Bingo! We are also asking for new (unused) gift donations for our raffle table and bakery donations for our bakery table. St. Patrick’s Day Dance
Saturday, March 17, in the parish hall. There will be a DJ so
